ResourcesAdolescent Literacy ResourcesThe Great Lakes West Comprehensive Center strives to provide the region with comprehensive resources and services to assist the state education agencies with the challenges of implementing the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act and improving student learning and achievement. This webpage focuses on adolescent literacy resources to help policymakers and practitioners improve the literacy skills of adolescent readers. The October 2007 issue of Your Access to the Region includes an article titled "No Child Left Behind and Adolescent Literacy" and relevant resources. Following are additional resources relating to adolescent literacy. General Information on Adolescent Literacy Resources The extensive network of national content centers and regional comprehensive assistance centers is funded by the U.S. Department of Education to help build the capacity of states across the nation to effectively implement NCLB provisions and goals.
