Wisconsin Teacher Quality

This website was created to provide information regarding Wisconsin Administrative Code PI 34 and the state program to support initial educators. The Great Lakes West Comprehensive Center, in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), has made information available about the PI 34 Quality Educator Initiative and results from the PI 34 initial educator and mentor surveys conducted in spring 2008. The idea for such a website came out of the Initial Educator Support Seminar that was held in June 2007 and was created to help inform people who are interested in teacher quality and induction and mentoring programs in Wisconsin. Using the navigation bar to the left, you can find information about 2008 seminars and seminars from previous years, along with resources about teacher induction and mentoring programs, key benefits to mentoring and induction programs, next steps for the Wisconsin DPI and other stakeholder groups in Wisconsin, and the message of improved teacher induction in Wisconsin.
